Dora, and the story behind her name...

This cute 8month old puppy has recently arrived to the Humane Society of Cozumel. A very nice couple brought her in. She was abandoned, her leash tied to their door. The took her in, but they already have two pets, and their dog is very jealous. They asked around, they put an add on the radio, and nobody claimed her, that's why they brought her.
The name that she got at the shelter? Dora. The person that admits the animals to the shelter, has to name them... so I thought: "tied to the door... puerta...DORA!" That´s because in Japan, they can't pronounce the word "door", they say "doora" ドア (you can hear it using the google translator)... So I named her "door" because she was tied to a door.
Anyway... The nice couple that broght her in, is actually HELPING to get her a home with a responsible owner, so we'll keep our fingers crossed,so she can have a forever home.

Edit: Dora was adopted on September 24th, 2011, her new name? Gerarda (Jerry) I don't know why.... lol. She went to live on a ranch in Tulum :) all the family came to pick her up.
